I've been given access to Matlab through my university but I only really know python so are there any good books to learn Matlab from.
Can't really fault the book. It's easy to understand/find things most of the time and it's definitely a good reference to have on my shelf. However, if you're not planning on using Matlab often. It all just depends what you want the book for!
Matlab is intuitive and quite fun once you get the hang of it. This book helps a lot.
Pro tip. you can find the question's answers online if you want them.

MatLab, Third Edition is the only book that gives a full introduction to programming in MATLAB combined with an explanation of the software’s powerful functions, enabling engineers to fully exploit its extensive capabilities in solving engineering problems. The book provides a systematic, step-by-step approach, building on concepts throughout the text, facilitating easier learning. The book is organized into 14 chapters, starting with programming concepts such as variables, assignments, input/output, and selection statements; moves onto loops; and then solves problems using both the ‘programming concept’ and the ‘power of MATLAB’ side-by-side. This is an outstanding introduction to Matlab, and the examples work equally well with the GNU free version. I'd recommend this book to anyone thinking about or starting off to get the quick start you need.
