I've also asked for machine learning books but whats the best for general Ai so language processing or image analysis.
This is perfect if you're a beginner but that's about it. It really only covers the basic core topics and doesn't delve into too much detail however what it does cover it covers well and makes it great for anyone just starting out.

This is an excellent book for the history of AI and a lot of programs written in Common Lisp. From reading you can tell the author is very passionate about AI and this helps in the information being learned in a fairly easy manner. This is a very good read for beginners moving to experts.
